Lash Lift or Lash Extension – Which is Right for You?

So you want to accentuate your eyes and get more definition, but what should you go for, Lash Lift or Lash Extensions? What is the difference and which is right for you? In this article we’ll explain all.

What is a Lash Lift

This treatment lifts and curls your own natural lashes, no matter how short or long they are. So if you want to define your lashes but don’t want to go down the false lash route, then this is the option for you.

The results are amazing and last for up to 8 weeks!

What are Lash Extensions?

These semi-permanent lashes are applied by a trained technician in-salon who hand-glues the extensions on top of your own lashes.

These differ from the temporary strips of ‘fake lashes’ that you can apply yourself at home in that they look much more real and are applied individually. They stay on for around 6-8 weeks until they naturally fall out, like your own lashes usually do.

So which is the best option for you?

It’s entirely up to you which option you choose, depending on the look you’re going for and the amount of maintenance you’re prepared to do. Both options are suitable for most clients and both give a long lasting result. The main difference is that Lash Lift improves the appearance of your own lashes and is super-low maintenance, while Lash Extensions add artificial lashes on to your own lashes, giving more volume but need careful maintenance.

Some clients come to us just wanting to get more definition but don’t want the fuss or maintenance of false lashes, and so opt for Lash Lift, while other want the fuller, ‘Kim Kardashian’ look and go for Lash Extensions.
